The Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee Medal (Alberta) was created to mark the 70th anniversary of Her Majesty’s accession to the throne. For 70 years, Her late Majesty exemplified the true meaning of public services.
The Platinum Jubilee Medal honours those who have reflected that same dedication of service to family, community and country. They are typically awarded to recognize contributions made by Canadians from a broad spectrum of society. In Alberta, it is awarded to 7,000 individuals for making a significant contribution to the province.
The Medal recognizes outstanding service from Albertans who have dedicated themselves to family, community and country.
