Northern Lights Cemetery Art Feature
Behrends was approached by EDA Design and Artist Adrian Stimson to work directly on the manufacturing and install of the Northern Lights Cemetery Art Feature. Adrian Stimson has titled his work of art – Peace.

The artwork honours peace – a universal concept that speaks to friendship, harmony, and freedom from violence.
Project details
The depictions etched on the five aluminum, CNC-cut, engraved, milled, patinaed panels reflect the idea of peace, as represented through animal metaphors relating to the military and the natural world around us.
The human symbolizes and honours the fallen military members who rest in this place, while the moon speaks to our emotional being, which connects us to the chaos and the calm within.
Together, the five panels create PEACE, a northern landscape that reflects the natural world, the animals that both protect and create wonder un us, the energetic night skies, and a connection to the spirits of our loved ones.
Project results
Behrends was provided the original artwork from Adrian Stimson in which we scaled up to larger sheets so our internal finishers could apply the correct finishing to best resemble Adrian’s original artwork.
We were extremely pleased to see Adrian’s reaction and EDA’s reaction upon erecting the panels as this piece has really brought Adrian’s artwork to life and EDA’s vision.
