PLAQUES AND AWARDS

Trans Canada Trail Plaques

At Behrends, we build our products to stand the test of time.

Recently, when the Government of Canada needed permanent, enduring interpretive plaques for new additions to the world-renowned Trans Canada Trail, they came to us.

Project overview

This was a particularly high profile project, as the first of the plaques was installed at Rideau Hall, the residence of the Governor General, and the place where Heads of State and royalty stay when visiting Ottawa (most recently Queen Elizabeth in 2010).

During the unveiling ceremony for the plaque and new addition to the trail, the completion date of the final section of the Trans Canada Trail was also announced, making this a memorable and historically important event that we’re proud to have been a part of.
